Compared to last month I think I did a lot better to read down some of my backlog, although it filled up pretty fast since my July book order arrived early (usually they ship out at the end of a month and arrive early next, but I’ve had both June and July’s in the same month)… It has been a pretty busy month, but busy in a way that meant I had a lot of time to read while being a zombie from work / medical appointments / anything else. And when I’m tired, I spend a lot of time zoned out just reading. It’s easy on the brain, depending on the series anyway. That’s one of the reasons I have read a lot, but not written that much. I do have things set aside to review and for Backlog Conquest, but they may have to wait until work calms down in September…

Also I’ve started a concentrated effort to go through Anime-Planet and clear out my reading list by either catching up with stuff out of the backlog or figuring if it’s stalled and I need to buy further volumes (this may have been mentioned before, but I have been doing well with it this month!!). Having that kind of mindless focus is also very helpful ’cause there’s less wondering what I should read and more prepared list of what I need to be reading. And so far so good, if my July books hadn’t arrived I’d have made ground on the backlog and gotten it down a fair bit compared to last month!!
