Kodansha USA has announced at their Comic-Con panel yesterday that they’ve licensed two new manga series. The titles in question are Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches and Let’s Dance a Wiltz.
Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches is a comedy romance series currently being released by Crunchyroll as it’s released in Japan. The series has currently gotten up to 13 volumes published in Japan in total and has proven quite a hit, selling over 2 million copies in Japan last year. The series centers around the story of Yamada-kun, who accidentally kisses a girl at his school and to his surprise the two swap bodies! As the story goes on we learn there is far more going on at this school than Yamada-kun just seemingly having the ability to switch bodies with a kiss… If you can’t wait for the first volume to be released in print then you can check out the manga on Crunchyroll right here.
Let’s Dance a Wiltz is another romance focused story which tells the story of two young characters who fall in love through ballroom dancing. The series currently has three volumes published in Japan.
Both series are still on-going in Japan and both have received relatively good praise since they began. Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches is certainly the better known of the two outside of Japan thanks to Crunchyroll offering it in English, but both series are strong and well worth checking out.
