So that’s 86 manga up from 77 and 17 light novels down from 21. My backlog has also risen from 70 to 125, rip. Since it’s the end of the year have some fun charts to look at~

One big change I made this year was buying and reading more Japanese magazines, which resulted in a lot more single-chapter one-shots. Right now these get counted as ‘one’ manga in the list, but I feel like giving them the same weight as a full volume or a serialisation coming to an end (where I am likely to have read at least 2-3 chapters of it that month) isn’t the right way to approach them because it ballons the manga count into something that isn’t very representative imo. So, next year I plan on separating them out into their own heading and tracking their number separately.

Hopefully, I can get the backlog back under 100 in 2023, but we’ll see how that goes…
