But this time, I just feel June disappeared, and I really don’t have a whole lot to report. I said this about April, but May also came and went in a rush! Fantasy Life I finally came out (go Level 5, you actually released a game this year!!), and work continued to be surprisingly full on. I will actually be quite surprised if my reading numbers are any good for this month, since I feel like things have been chaotic lol. Still, let’s take a look!

April came and went in a rush. Work was busy, so I feel like my ability to read or do anything else decreased quite a bit. Especially since in what little free time I did have toward the end of the month, I started watching Seiyu to Yoasobi. Which is fine ultimately, but I needed time to adjust it into my daily schedule (the intention was only to watch a few days a week, but so far I’m still 7/7 as of week 2 lol…). Oh well, I’m sure it’ll all balance out in the end. Let’s take a look at what I read this month.

It’s the final reading log of the year! Honestly, I’m still not entirely sure where 2024 even went. It feels like it should be June or July, not New Year’s Eve. Recently, we wrote the Anime UK News yearly review, and I struggled to figure out what I cared about. I finished a number of series I valued, but some of the heavy hitters like Yozakura Family have stretched into next year while others (Smartphone) just stubbornly cling to life. My Hero Academia ending almost came as a relief, although looking back now I’ve become so much fonder of it. I did also finally find it within me to finish Unnamed Memory, which I loved and which I hope the sequel for gets licensed in 2025. Please, publishers.
