Anime Limited Move Gurren Lagann Release Date Once Again

gurren-lagann-group-wallscroll-2013

Yes, it certainly sounds bad. Anime Limited’s release of Gurren Lagann has been anything but smooth sailing for the publisher and now they’ve hit yet another delay, although it’s not their fault by any means.

Sadly, today Anime Limited have had to announce that their release of Gurren Lagann has been moved from the 29th of September to the 20th of October. It’s a bit of a blow, but again not of their doing. The printers that Anime Limited are using are receiving abnormally high orders which had an impact on how quickly things can be done. Hence the delay for Gurren Lagann.

If you wish to know more about the delay then you can read Anime Limited’s blog post on the delay right here.

Anime Limited add Samurai Flamenco to Netflix

Samurai Flamenco

Netflix has had quite a few additions in the anime department as of late, mostly thanks to UK publisher Anime Limited. Recently we saw Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann find their way to Netflix and today we see the arrival of Samurai Flamenco.

All 22 episodes of the series have been added to the service. It’s available to watch subtitled as the series hasn’t been dubbed. Samurai Flamenco tells the story of Masayoshi Hazama who having grown up watching superhero’s on TV inspires to become one and help make the world an overall better and more peaceful place, despite the fact Masayoshi is an normal everyday person with no powers at all. The series is an anime original and was directed by Takahiro Omori at the Manglobe studio.

All three series have become big names in and outside of Japan. All have received anime adaptations with Log Horizon being given a second season in October.

gurren-lagann-group-wallscroll-2013

Good and bad news came from Anime Limited in regards to their Gurren Lagann release. The bad news, which isn’t so bad, is that the release has been moved from the 1st of September to the 29th of September. However, the move has been made due to some rather good news and to allow Anime Limited to polish the release a little bit more.

I approached the first volume of The Seven Deadly Sins with a curiosity. I’d been interested in the series since Crunchyroll added it to their manga service when it first launched, but due to the huge collection of other titles on offer I ended up setting series aside. However, now I’ve picked up the first volume of the series in print and have gone through it to review!
